Not a follow train.

Your X account stays yours.

  • Everyone here signs in with X. Launching and upvoting need X Premium.
  • You only match when it's mutual.
  • You tap follow yourself, on X.
  • Nothing is automated. No bots, no scripts.
  • Read-only X access. We can't post, follow, like or DM for you.

The details are in Terms & Privacy.

Why I built FollowX

Growing on X alone is slow, and the shortcuts are bots and fake follows. I wanted real people who actually follow back, so I built that.

And when you ship something, you should hear from real people too, not a wall of bought upvotes.

It's early and small, so everyone who joins shapes it. If something's broken or missing, tell me.

Questions, answered

Is it free?
Yes, it's all free. Anyone who signs in with X can match. Launching and upvoting need X Premium, which keeps bots off the launch board. Launches show our small badge on your site.
Do I need X Premium?
Only to launch and upvote. The badge keeps bots off the launch board. To swipe and match, you just sign in with X and make your card. Anyone can browse people and launches.
Is it safe for my X account?
Yes. Nothing is automated: you choose who to match with and you tap follow yourself. FollowX has read-only access, so it can't post, follow, like or DM for you. You never have more than 30 follows to finish at once, so nobody mass-follows.
What if someone doesn't follow back?
Nothing happens to your account. The match ends after 7 days and neither of you gets the 10 points. We check a follow once, when you ask us to, and never again.
What do you read from my X account?
When you sign in: your handle, name, photo, follower counts and whether you have Premium. When you check a follow in a match: whether you follow that one person. Nothing else. See Terms & Privacy.
Why launch here if I'm on Product Hunt?
Launch on both. Here every upvote comes from a verified X profile, not a bought bot, and your launch page stays up for good.
How do launches work?
Pick a day on Launches. You go live at 10:00 UTC, people upvote and comment, and the day's top 3 get a Product of the Day badge. Launching is free. Add our small badge to your site. Your page stays up after the day ends.
Do I get a link to my site?
Yes. A dofollow link to your site, free while we're in early access.
